Jason’s area of practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of both domestic and foreign patent applications in the mechanical and electrical arts. He has considerable experience with patenting medical device technologies and is intimately familiar with agriculturally related technologies. His practice also includes client counseling regarding innovative technologies, intellectual property infringement and validity evaluations, as well as performing client portfolio analysis and development.
Prior to joining Crompton, Seager & Tufte, Jason took an active role on the family farm where he grew up. As time allows, he continues to be actively engaged in farming. Through his farming experiences, he has first-hand knowledge of developments in agricultural machinery, chemical application, grain handling, site-specific farming including global positioning systems, and livestock management.
