John Shudy’s practice concentrates on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the U.S. and abroad, in the electronic, mechanical and optical arts.
John has prior corporate counsel and litigation experience involving intellectual property with a Fortune 100 company. He was the senior patent attorney and an executive of the company at the time of its merger. John previously was on the staff at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as an attorney, and was a patent attorney with the Office of Naval Research.
Prior to entering graduate and law schools, John was an electrical engineer. He has first-hand design experience relative to various electronic devices and systems. Also, John was a senior commissioned officer with the Navy Reserve Intelligence.
