Cathy’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign applications in the mechanical and chemical arts. Cathy has experience with applications relating to medical devices, coatings and adhesives, polymers, agricultural products, and other electrical and mechanical devices in general.
Prior to joining Seager, Tufte & Wickhem, Cathy was a patent agent with a Faegre & Benson and Merchant & Gould. In addition to her extensive experience as a patent agent, Cathy has worked as a chemist with CIMA Labs Inc. and Mayo Clinic’s Biochemical Genetics Laboratory.
Cathy’s graduate research focused on magnetically modified composite electrodes for use in fuel cells. Cathy is a co-inventor on a patent that resulted, in part, from her graduate research.
